Master Musketeer -- System Dynamics Detector
When I first pulled the Musketeer out of the box, my first thought
was that this thing looks pretty cool. The blue gauges look
great even when the unit is not powered up. I was looking forward
to seeing how it would look with my black aluminum case. I already
had four blue LED fans installed in the case, so the Musketeer's
colors match this motif perfectly. Let's take a look at unit
a little more closely.

books? /// Thomas Monk
Any creative form is open to piracy if it can be reduced to
pure information and then easily reconstructed from that information.
Two such examples are music and video, both of which have readily
succumbed to the pirates. But one form of piracy we hear little
about in the West is book piracy.

Cache For The Masses : Intel’s New 3.06GHz/1MB Xeon DP
Things have cooled on the desktop CPU market, but the workstation
CPU battles are just heating up. Both AMD and Intel have for
the most part, drained their current desktop CPU architectures,
Intel maxing out their Pentium 4 at 3.2 GHz, while AMD peaked
its Athlon XP at 2.2 GHz (3200+). At this time, we're not expecting
any new processors to be announced on either company's current
generation of processor cores. All will remain quiet in this
sector for the next 2-3 months, as Intel preps their new "Prescott"
architecture, while AMD gears their Athlon64 for the desktop
market.

The R300 chip (ATI Radeon9700) has become the world's first

What's more, when NV30 (FX5800) finally arrived to the reviewers
(while ATI Radeon9700 had been on sale in every computer shop
by then) it turned out that by the consumer qualities it wouldn't
be a match for ATI Radeon9700.

865 Mainboards Roundup: Part 1
After the Pentium 4 line with FSB 800 MHz was announced we looked

there are no chipsets we would unconditionally recommend you.
The i875P (Canterwood) is certainly faster than its dual-channel
brothers of the i865 family (Springdale) but its release price
is noticeably higher, and the layout is much more complicated.

Personal Cinema Review
The first iteration of NVIDIA’s Personal Cinema unit met
with some commercial success, but yet remained a fairly unpopular
solution as few manufacturers supported the concept and seemingly
fewer customers were interested in the products. Advance a few
years and even your typical “Average Joe” computer
user has begun to understand the multimedia capabilities that
computers offer. It was an uphill battle, but with consumer
acceptance of digital cameras and even better, their video counterparts,
computers have become an integral part of the media experience.
